How does bentonite work?

Bentonite is a natural agent that provides excellent clarification. This negatively charged mineral attracts the positively charged particles that can cause cloudiness in wine, such as proteins or metal ions. Once the particles are combined, they sink to the bottom to form a sludge that is easy to separate. Clarification is facilitated by low temperatures. When used correctly, bentonite does not affect the color or taste of the wine.

Attention!

This agent should only be used after the fermentation process is complete! Otherwise, the clarification process will not proceed correctly and the substances that cause cloudiness will not precipitate.

Instructions for use:

Add the correct amount of Klarowin White Plus to 100 ml of water and stir thoroughly. Then leave it for 24 hours, stirring occasionally. After this time, stir the suspension thoroughly and add it to the clarified liquid, stir again and let the clarification take place. The best effect is visible after 7 days.
