Agglomerated corks are made of compressed cork granules. Contrary to what many people think these corks have a good consistent quality. They are harder than normal corks, and therefore their diameter has been reduced to 22 mm. They can only be used with standing corkers. A good cork screw is essential!

All our corks have been siliconised. Therefore, prior soaking of these corks is not necessary. Should you still want to do this, then immerse the corks for 10 minutes in a lukewarm solution of equal amounts of sulphite and citric acid to disinfect them. Pat dry before use with a clean cloth.

Use:

All types of cork made of cork and must be well prepared for the eventual cork. Failure to do so may result in damage to the corks.
The corks should be submerged in hot water for about 3 minutes before use or placed under cover over boiling water. Thanks to this process they will be softer, making it easier to cork bottles.

PAY ATTENTION:
Do not forget to "moisten" the corks for too long, as they may damage them.
After corking, the bottles must remain in a vertical position for one day. This allows the cork to adapt to the inner wall of the bottle neck. Place the bottles in a horizontal position, so that the cork can not dry (the wine "washes" the cork) and ensures a good gas exchange between the inside of the bottle and the environment. After two or three days, check that the corks are leaking. If you notice a leak, you must replace the cork.
