Unbreakable, horizontal water seal especially for mounting on the side of fermentation containers, allows carbon dioxide to be released during the fermentation process and protects the contents against access by flies and other insects.
  • Space saving - the airlock is designed to be mounted on the side of fermentation containers, allowing one container to be stacked on top of another.
  • Durability - the fermentation tube offered, unlike its glass counterparts, is unbreakable and will last for years.
  • Safety of use - when inserting or removing the water seal from the cork or cap, there is no risk of it breaking and injuring your hands.
  • Easy to refill with liquid - the wide cup makes it easy to pour water during the fermentation process.
  • European production - the airlock horizontal is produced in Europe.

The water seal horizontal is a European product intended for use during fermentation. Due to its design, it can be easily placed in the side wall of the fermentation bucket. Containers with a horizontal water seal can thus easily be placed on top of each other, reducing the floor space.

The water seal is made of a high-quality, durable material, so you don't have to worry about it breaking.

The water seal material is approved for contact with food.

Usage:

During the fermentation process, a water-filled water seal is used to protect the contents from contamination by unfavorable microorganisms and at the same time ensures a regular release of carbon dioxide generated during the process.

The bubbles in the water seal allow us to observe the changing intensity of the fermentation process from the turbulent phase (intensive bubbling) to the stationary phase. Water evaporation is a natural thing, so do not forget to top up the water level in the tube. Failure to do so may result in too intense oxygenation of the liquid, acetic bacteria can convert ethanol into acetic acid. This unfavorable process can also be caused by fruit flies entering the dish.

NOTE:

with limited control of the water level in the water seal, we can fill it with a less evaporating oily liquid.
